‘Potter’ stars on ‘Half-Blood Prince’ Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and the rest of the "Harry Potter" cast hit the red carpet in New York where they talk about the success of the franchise. |
Fear not Seattle Grace fans. There will be no code blue for Katherine Heigl’s character, Izzie Stevens, in the near future.
Last week, a set source told E! News’ Marc Malkin that “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes was considering writing Heigl off the show.
Heigl’s recent comments about the ABC drama’s material, which she referenced while withdrawing her name from Emmy contention, was to blame, the source suggested.
But this is not the case according to ABC Entertainment president Steve McPherson.
“(Heigl) is absolutely staying with the show,” he told TVGuide.com.
In fact, not only is the “Knocked Up” star staying with the show, but Heigl’s character has some major plot twists in store.
“(There is an) unbelievable new storyline for Izzie that is central to the show,” McPherson said.
Rhimes is expected to reveal more details about what’s next for Izzie, later this week at a Television Critics Association event in Los Angeles.
