The UFC announced three additions to October’s UK show which will be headlined by a middleweight bout feauring Brit Michael Bisping against Chris Leben.

In an intriguing light-heavyweight fight, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will square off with Luiz Cane.

Sokoudjou is considered one of the division’s best long-term prospects, and came to the UFC from PRIDE, where he knocked out Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Ricardo Arona in back-to-back matches. In his UFC debut last December, he suffered a submission loss to the unbeaten Lyoto Machida, but rebounded with a knockout against Kazuhiro Nakamura.

Cane was unbeaten until his UFC debut, when he lost via disqualification when he struck a grounded James Irvin with a knee, and Irvin was unable to continue. Cane beat Jason Lambert via TKO in his most recent match at UFC 85.

Both fighters are aggressive strikers who prefer to fight standup, so it could lead to fireworks.

Undefeated heavyweight prospect Shane Carwin will also return to the octagon, this time against the UK’s Neil Wain. The 6-4, 250 pound Carwin made his UFC debut in May and scored a highlight reel knockout of Christian Wellisch.

Wain will be making his UFC debut in the bout.

Another UK native making his octagon debut will be Dan Hardy, a welterweight who will compete against crafty Japanese fighter Akihiro Gono.

Hardy (19-6) holds a win over UFC veteran Chad Reiner on his resume and has won eight of his last nine fights.

Gono was a PRIDE veteran who made a successful UFC debut when he submitted Tamdan McCrory last November. He was scheduled to fight Jon Fitch at UFC 82 but was forced to withdraw with a hand injury.
