J. Lo being sued for $5 million over dog bite

LOS ANGELES - Celebs are accustomed to bringing their dogs on airplanes, but Jennifer Lopez might regret not leaving her German Shepherd at home.

The actress/singer is being sued by a flight attendant who claims the actress’ dog bit her on the leg during a flight in 2006, The New York Daily News reports.

Lisa Wilson, who worked as a flight attendant for the private airline company, NetJets, filed a suit against Lopez in a Brooklyn Court Thursday, alleging Lopez’s dog attacked her in July 2006.

Wilson claims the alleged dog attack caused her to fall to the ground injuring her back, which she says prevents her from now working.

Lopez’s dog was reportedly described in the manifest as “a well-behaved guard dog,” according to court papers.

Despite the dog’s purported good behavior, Wilson alleges that during the flight, she walked past the dog and he began “attacking her and biting her pant leg,” according to the papers.

While trying to evade the alleged attacking dog, Wilson claims she “twisted and fell,” and sustained injuries to her lower back which have required surgery. She goes on to claim she can no longer work and has suffered a “great economic loss.”

Wilson’s lawsuit reportedly argues that Lopez is “absolutely liable for all injuries” and “should have known the dog had vicious propensities.”

The former flight attendant’s lawyer told the paper his client has made several attempts to settle the case with Lopez, but she has been ignored by the pop star.

A rep for Lopez did not return calls made by the paper. A rep for Nuyorican Productions, Lopez’s company, reportedly said, “We are not obligated [to comment on the suit],” when contacted by The New York Daily News.
