LOS ANGELES - Billy Bob Thornton was not responsible for claiming his ex-wife Angelina Jolie is going through “a high school phase,” according to a rep for the “Bad Santa” star.

On Monday, a story circulated on the internet, claiming Billy Bob bashed Angelina’s relationship with paramour Brad Pitt.

“She is just going through a high school phase. You know, dating the quarterback of the football team with Brad Pitt over there,” Billy Bob was quoted telling AskMen.com at a press launch for his new music album. “She’ll be waking up from that dream in no time.”

The actor, who was married to Jolie for three years, was also quoted saying Jolie and Pitt — the parents of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and very shortly, twin girls — “had nothing in common.”

“Who knows if I’ll be there when she’s ready to come to her senses though,” Billy Bob supposedly said.

However, the quotes are all false, a rep said.

“He never said it,” a rep for Billy Bob told Access.

Additionally, on Tuesday, no article could be found with the alleged Billy Bob quotes on AskMen.com.
