Frozen smoothies are taking on bright new tastes and colors this summer. Eric Helms, founder and president of Juice Generation Juice Bars, shares three recipes that are full of exotic fruits, flavors and antioxidants. So start up your blender and get ready to enjoy one of these nutritious and delicious smoothies.
Antioxidant all-star
Eric Helms
One serving
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup pomegranate juice
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1/2 pack Sambazon acai
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1 peeled mangosteen fruit
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar
- 1/2 cup ice
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in blender and puree until smooth.
Peaches and dreams
Eric Helms
One serving
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup soy milk
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1/2 cup peaches
- 1 teaspoon of agave nectar
- 1/2 cup ice
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in blender and puree until smooth.
Watermelon
One serving
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup fresh watermelon juice
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup raspberries
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar
- 1/2 cup ice
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in blender and puree until smooth.
