Secret of the Olsen twins’ smiles? Say ‘prune’!

Although Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are fiercely private, details about the twins’ lives are slowly emerging. The latest: how the two achieve their signature smiles.

“Every time they pose and smile, they say the word ‘prune,’” a source close to the girls told OK!.

Another source close to the Olsens could not confirm the precise word they use as their smile trigger, but says their smiles are keys to their identity. “It could be true (that they say prune) but unfortunately I can't say — they like to keep their personal lives personal," said the source. “They do care about their smiles though. Mary-Kate has slightly thinner lips and more of a playful grin, while Ashley tends to go for a full-on pout. It has been the obv(ious) way to tell them apart for years.”

In other Olsen news, Ben Kingsley opened up about working with 22-year-old Mary-Kate in a profile of the twins in Elle magazine. Kingsley and Mary-Kate share some racy scenes in their upcoming film, “The Wackness” (case in point: Kingsley, who is 64, is straddled by Mary-Kate in a phone booth in one scene).

“She was a joy to work with... I was quite taken by her, especially how astute she is about art. We spent a lot of time between takes talking about her art collection,” Kingsley told Elle. The film is scheduled for release July 3.

Kate Hudson keeps coy about dating Lance

During the June 11 episode of “The View,” Kate Hudson was questioned about the status of her relationship with Lance Armstrong. Although there are plenty of photos to support the argument that the two are dating, neither has admitted it (Hudson responded largely by giggling, said she tries not to talk about her personal life, and then suggested the hosts ask Armstrong himself).

Several sources can confirm that the couple is more than friendly. “She doesn’t just spend time with Lance, she spends time with Lance and (her son) Ryder," said one source. "Although Kate isn’t overly protective about who Ryder meets, it’s still a pretty good indication that there’s more than a trip to France and a few dinners at work here.”

Common pens book on love
Common, the rapper and actor, is also an author. He turned his breakup woes into a love lesson in a children’s book called, “I Like You But I Love Me.”

What is the lesson? In an interview with Elle, Common said, “If you’re truly loving yourself, you won’t allow some things to go down, and you’ll have boundaries… It turned out to be such a big blessing that we broke up, because I got that lesson.”

The lesson and the book appear to be derived from his relationship with Erykah Badu.

Women beware, Common won’t be dating anyone in the future who lacks style. “It’s more like, bad purse — c’mon, baby, you can do better," he told the magazine. "Her shoes, too. It’s like, c’mon, baby. And if her hairstyle is wack, that’s a stopper for me.”

Kristin Davis was the only “Sex and the City” star to become a Web-search celeb last week according to the Lycos 50. Davis came in third place (she was topped by the Belmont Stakes and Megan Fox for the week of June 1) and interestingly, none of her “SATC” co-stars made the top 10. … Anne Hathaway has a thing or two to say about kissing “Get Smart” co-star Steve Carell:  “Making out with him is like the yummiest lollipop, dipped in sunshine and wrapped in a masculine wrapper! That's the only way I can think to describe it,” Hathaway told Contact Music.
