Lindsay Lohan might have excused herself from all promotion related to “Living Lohan,” the reality series that follows little sister Ali and mom Dina, but that doesn’t mean that dad Michael is content to quietly stand back and watch his ex-wife and youngest daughter navigate their way up (or down) the ladder of celebrity.

Michael Lohan has agreed to share his reactions to each installment of the series with a blog on OK! magazine’s Web site.

Regarding the premiere episode, titled “Mommy Will Fix It,” which aired on Memorial Day, Michael appears to take the high road and edit himself more than he has in the past. “If I were to look at things from a worldly perspective, I would probably have a lot to say about exploitation, hypocrisy and even deception,” he told the magazine.

Don’t expect his discipline to last, however. Michael went on to say that future episodes, which he said he’s screened, might be cause for speaking out. “I will say that some of the people Dina surrounds the kids with still concerns me again, I can address that when they appear on the show. I just hope Dina takes the high road like a Lohan would and rights these wrongs.”

A source close to the Lohan family suspects that Michael won’t have much longer to speak his mind because he and Dina are due to face off in court again the first week of June. “It’s going to get ugly,” said the source. “Things are going to get nastier before they get better, and there’s sure to be a gag order in place.”

“Sex and the City” star Chris Noth (Mr. Big) is said to be furious over the promotions for “Sex and the City: The Movie.” What’s rubbing him the wrong way?

“He thought it was ridiculous that the film didn’t premiere first in the U.S. and now that it is premiering here, he’s barely able to bring anyone,” said a source close to film. “The ladies — especially Sarah Jessica Parker — were allowed to get just about anyone they wanted in to the premiere (in New York on May 27). Chris has barely got enough tickets for his close family.”

Weekend box office
No surprises here: The fourth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise hit the No. 1 spot at the box office, and basically hit the financial targets projected before the five-day opening weekend. Indy’s four-day take was slightly more than $151 million according to Box Office Mojo.

“Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” was No. 2 with a four-day total of $28 million (after Memorial Day is factored in, “Narnia” will pass the $100 million mark) and “Iron Man” brought in another $25 million, which was good enough for third place.
