LOS ANGELES - Though Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz had a “Wonderland”-themed wedding, when it came to their financial affairs, the couple was reportedly very much grounded in reality.

The newlyweds have signed a prenuptial agreement, according to OK! Magazine.

The magazine also reports that Ashlee’s father, Joe Simpson, was adamant about a prenup between Ashlee and Pete with the hopes of avoiding another possible Nick and Jessica situation, where Jessica was reportedly forced to pay Nick more than $10 million following their divorce.

Though Ashlee is not bringing in the same big bucks her older sister does, the younger of the Simpson girls is worth around $6 million, according to OK!

Joe is optimistic that Ashlee and Pete can build on their existing wealth with a reported upcoming reality show featuring the newlyweds.
