While working hard to get her life back on track, Britney Spears decided she wants her old body back, too. Life & Style reports the pop star spends hours a day at the gym and loves every minute of it.

“She’s hell-bent on getting a rocking midsection again,” Britney’s personal trainer, Marc Corliss, told the magazine. “She’s been training hard for the past four weeks, doing about 500 or so abdominal exercises ever day. And she’s seeing a major difference already.”

It seems like the workouts also function as a mood-booster for the singer, who told Life & Style, “I’m always happy when I’m done.”

Brit’s father-cum-conservator even gets in on the fitness act, said an onlooker who spied Jamie working out alongside his daughter at Studio City’s Bally Total Fitness. “It’s really cute; he’ll spot her on some of the machines. She seems like a kid around him.”

Already 15 pounds lighter for her efforts, Britney’s only weakness now comes after the exercises. “She comes home from the gym and wants to splurge on cookies and ice cream and junk,” said a friend. “It’s always a fight for her to resist all that.”

Unflattering Mischa pics were ‘doctored’
Turns out those embarrassing photos of Mischa Barton that made the rounds last week were enhanced to show the topless actress’s body in a more “dimply” light. At least that’s what Mischa’s PR peep, Lisa Perkins, told the New York Daily News.

“Those photos are doctored,” Mischa’s rep insisted. “I'm not saying she's perfect, nobody is. But they've given a 22-year-old woman the legs and bottom of an 80-year-old.”

Perkins pointed to Mischa’s earlier bikini bod to back up her claim. “Look at the shots that were taken shortly before on a beach in L.A. Did she develop all that cellulite in a couple of weeks? There's a lot you can do with Photoshopping."

Jamie Fawcett, the photog who took the less-than-flattering photos, gave the Daily News his side of the story. “I wouldn't seek to publicly embarrass (Mischa) with nudity or health issues or body image issues,” he countered. “It is a shame that publications tend to highlight an issue that is not fair to a young girl. ... However, sometimes these are the things that sell pictures.”

Dish on the fly
When it comes to hubby Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore has one pet peeve. According to In Touch, the “Pop Fiction” producer likes to make like a dog when he takes his pooches out for their morning walk. “It’s sort of like a gotta-pee-in-the-woods kinda thing,” Ashton confessed. “It makes me feel really manly, like I’m camping!”… 82-year-old Playboy editor, Hugh Hefner, wants Miley Cyrus to know she’d “be welcomed in the magazine.” At least once the “very pretty lady” is of legal age. While speaking with “Extra,” Hugh also addressed the 15-year-old’s current photo scandal. “I think to make such a big to-do over something as innocent as those photos, I think is a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality,” he said. … She may be out of the dance competition, but Shannon Elizabeth took home a “Dancing With the Stars” trophy nonetheless. Star magazine reports Shannon’s pro partner, Derek Hough, is now living with the “American Pie” star. “Shannon doesn’t like to live alone, and Derek is at her house all the time now anyhow,” an insider told the magazine. “(He’s) playing with her dogs and watching moves, so it’s no big deal for him to move some of his stuff in.”
