HARRISON TWP, Ohio - A pair of 16-year-old Indiana girls were killed in a crash Friday night, officials said. Stephanie Gould, of Guilford, Ind., and Rachel Meese, of Lawrenceburg lost their lives in the collision, which occurred at 11:43 p.m. on Friday night, Hamilton County sheriffs said.
Officials said that Tara Fricker, 16, of West Harrison, Ind., was driving the girls northbound when she lost control of her vehicle, crossing over the center line on Lawrenceburg Road.
Fricker's Saturn struck an oncoming Dodge Ram in the passenger side.
The driver of the Ram, Donald Scothorn, 38, of Petersburg, Ky., was treated at the scene by the Harrison Fire Department, according to a release. However, Fricker was transported to University Hospital for observation.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the collision, sheriffs said. Seatbelts were worn by all parties involved.
Officials said the crash remains under investigation.
