Amateur Rapper Sought In Home Invasion

YPSILANTI, Mich. - Police are looking for a man who allegedly broke into a Ypsilanti home and shot the homeowner in January. Rajeah Alexander Murray is wanted on charges of assault with intent to commit murder, home invasion and armed robbery after police said Murray and another man, who was already charged and awaiting trial, broke into a home on Green Road.
During the robbery, the homeowner was pistol whipped in the head when he attempted to fight back. Police said Murray shot the victim twice in the back. The victim survived his injuries.
Murray and his accomplice fled the home with a large amount of money, the victim's cell phone and leather coat, police said.
Murray is an amateur rapper who goes by the name "Crazy Jay." He has a tattoo on his right arm of a clown shooting a gun and throwing dice.
Police describe Murray as black with very light skin, brown hair and eyes, in his mid 20s, weighing 170 pounds and 6 feet tall.
Murray may be driving his girlfriend's older model white Chevy Tahoe.
Along with the felony warrant from the home invasion and shooting he has other outstanding warrants for his arrest including a violation of probation for another serious assault.
