Love on the rocks for Scarlett, Ryan Reynolds?

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have been quietly dating for about a year, but reports of their relationship being on the outs are becoming more frequent.

According to the Australian press, “Scarlett and Ryan have hit a rough patch after he dared to broach the subject of marriage and kids. Scarlett is younger and has no desire for a husband or family just yet.”

Also, reports that Johansson moved into Reynolds’ Los Angeles home aren’t true either, according to sources. “Scarlett hasn't moved in full time. She has just moved in so when she stays over she has some belongings there. She is very much focused on her career and is filming three movies back-to-back this year.”

Kylie’s tour inspired by Manilow
Reports that Kylie Minogue’s upcoming tour will be inspired by Barry Manilow are indeed true, according to a well-placed source. Minogue’s tour for her new album, “X,” begins in Paris in June. The source said Minogue will be doing her best to embody Lola, the title character in Manilow’s hit song “Copacabana.”

So, keep your eye out for “yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there,” but additionally, the Daily Mail reported that the show will be “filled with surprises,” including a “key moments in the production is when Kylie sings a rendition of ‘Copacabana’ with bells on.”

The source couldn’t confirm the specifics of Minogue’s choreography, but did say that Mr. Manilow himself might be making time to make a cameo or two on the tour. “There’s a good chance Barry will be making an appearance. He loves the idea and she’s a huge fan of his.”

Travolta’s family birthday bash
John Travola has a proven affinity for birthday parties — he threw his own lavish 50^th birthday party at the One & Only Palmilla in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This time, though, the party was for his daughter, 8-year-old Ella Bleu.

The Travolta family and 25 guests, which included Forest Whitaker and his family, gathered at NYC restaurant Max Brenner, OK! magazine reports. The menu for the event included hot dogs and chocolate pizza for the kids, and salmon and chicken for the adults. “They were the nicest, most grateful people,” an eyewitness told OK! “The kids were so polite.”

Snoop Dogg on fame, drug use
Few rappers are as recognizable as Snoop Dogg, and he’s become keenly aware of that fact. “The good side of fame is people recognize you for what you do. ... But you can never do anything without somebody recognizing who you are,” Snoop told Complex magazine in its April/May issue.

“If you try to sneak around or if you're involved with something illegal, you can never get away with anything 'cause you're so easy to recognize.” And speaking of illegal things, he’s got a thing or two to say about drug use. “I'm not with drug abuse. ... But what is a drug? They say weed is a drug, but it's grown out of the grass from nature. When there's not any chemicals put into it, it's a natural vegetation.”

Brian Williams talks men versus women
Brian Williams stepped outside his "Nightly News" persona for a bit during an interview with Men’s Journal magazine. When asked what every man should know about women, Williams said, “Women experience the world differently. It’s like the old tale of the blind men and the elephant; everyone thinks they have a different animal. My wife can have a meaningful relationship with the woman who takes the money at the GW Bridge. In the real world, not the one in movies, male friendships are grunted conversations that stop at a certain depth. As a result, women enjoy better mental health as a group than men.”

The interview, which is in the May issue and is on stands now, ends on a much lighter note. When asked “Who do people say you remind them of?” Williams’ answers might be a little surprising. “Dick Van Dyke. And John Elway. But I don’t really get much comparison. Although I was told at the Costco checkout last weekend that I looked a lot like that guy who does the news.”
