Show creator Shonda Rhimes is working on Addison’s reappearance

LOS ANGELES - Paging Dr. Addison Montgomery fans, the doctor is back in the house.

ABC has confirmed to Access Hollywood that Kate Walsh will be back at Seattle Grace in an episode of "Grey's Anatomy" airing this spring.

Shonda Rhimes, the show's creator and executive producer, is said to be working on Addison's return episode, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Walsh left "Grey's" at the end of season three to star in the spin-off, "Private Practice," which is currently on hiatus due to the writers strike.

“Grey’s Anatomy” returns to the air on April 24 with five new episodes.
