LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - One person was injured in a shooting Wednesday on a campus parking lot at the University of Arkansas, a school spokeswoman said.

UALR spokeswoman Joan Duffy said shots were fired at about 2 p.m. in a parking lot behind University Theatre and Stabler Hall.

"One person has been injured and is being treated by medical personnel and probably will be transported to the hospital," she said.

University officials didn't know whether the shooters or victim were students.

Duffy said authorities were interviewing people at nearby tennis courts who may have seen or heard something.

Campus police would not comment.
