Holmes sparks new pregnancy rumors

Is it nearly impossible for a celebrity to buy some baby blankets without sparking pregnancy rumors? The short answer is yes.

Word is Katie Holmes had her assistant place an order for six organic baby blankets in “petal pink” and “ocean blue” from robbieadrian.com. A source close to Holmes and Tom Cruise said the actress is not pregnant, and hey, can’t a girl buy some baby clothes for friends?

Pal Jennifer Lopez is due to give birth as early as Feb. 14, after all …

Heidi Montag's new video plans
“Hills” star Heidi Montag might be able to put those tear-filled nights behind her, thanks to what sounds like a step in the right direction with plans for her second music video.

Producer-director Paul Coy Allen, who has worked with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and Timbaland, is set to create a much more pleasing video for Montag. He’ll be co-producing with Matt Meyerson, and the duo hopes to start soon.

Montag recently told Us Weekly that the first, much-mocked video for her single “Higher” was so bad, she would “cry myself to sleep.” The single did hit No. 7 on iTunes Top 10 Pop chart, though, in case you were wondering.

Dakota Fanning really wants to keep her hair
The world will have to wait a little longer for Dakota Fanning and her mini-me sister Elle to co-star in a film together.

Variety is reporting that Dakota is pulling out of “My Sister’s Keeper” because she would have to shave her head for the role, and once Dakota dropped out, Elle did too. Part of the curiosity over Dakota’s decision stems other controversial parts she’s accepted in the past, namely her role in “Hounddog,” where she played a young victim of sexual assault.

But back to “Sister’s Keeper. ”Dakota Fanning’s heir apparent, Abigail Breslin, will be taking Elle’s spot and “Medium” star Sofia Vassilieva will take over for Dakota. Production of the film, an adaption of Jodi Picoult’s best-selling novel, is set to begin in March.

Will Ferrell is my valentine
A quick note of thanks to Will Ferrell, or his alter ego Jackie Moon, the star of “Semi-Pro.” He sent me a valentine and a copy of his single “Love Me Sexy.”

While I’m a little disturbed by the nearly naked image of Ferrell/Moon on the card, I do really like the red faux-velvet exterior, and I’m touched he remembered.
