Dottie Pepper joined NBC for the 2005 season as an analyst on NBC Sports golf telecasts after her LPGA playing career was cut short in 2004 due to injuries. Pepper brings the same feistiness and competitive nature to broadcasting as she did as a player. Dottie’s honest broadcasting style has earned her media recognition as “the female Johnny Miller with the insights of Roger Maltbie”.

In her illustrious playing career, Pepper won 17 LPGA titles, including the 1992 and 1999 Nabisco Dinah Shore, and played for the U.S. Solheim Cup team an impressive six times in her career (’90, ’92, ’94, ’96, ’98, ’00). Her 19-under-par finish in the 1999 Nabisco still stands as the lowest score in relation to par in a major championship. Pepper also finished in the top 10 in 10 of 11 seasons from 1991-2001. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1992 and ranks 10th all-time with $6,824,353 in career earnings.

Pepper was named the Golf Writers Association Player of the Year in 1992 and also captured an ESPY Award and Jim Thorpe Award. She crossed the $3 million dollar mark in career earnings in 1995, setting the all-time LPGA record as the fastest player to reach that mark – a timeframe of seven years, six months and two days. Pepper was a consistent performer throughout the 1990s, leading the tour in wins in 1992 and 1996, in scoring and earnings in 1992, and between 1991 and 1996 she finished no lower than fifth.

A top junior player, Pepper was the 1981 New York State Amateur champion and 1981 and 1983 New York Junior Amateur champion. She also earned All-American honors three times while at Furman University (S.C.)

In addition to her NBC duties, Pepper also joined The Golf Channel as an analyst for the 2005 season and writes for Sports Illustrated.

A native of Saratoga Springs, New York, she now resides in Jupiter, Fla., with her two dogs, Furman and J.P. Favorite activities include gardening, downhill skiing and wine collecting.
