Jupiter Hotel, from $59 per night
The new and stylish Jupiter Hotel, located in the Hawthorne District on the east side of the Willamette River, is offering a special After Midnight room-rate discount for those that check in, well, after midnight. The rooms are air-conditioned, have wireless Internet, and come equipped with staples such as cable TV, clock radios, and hair dryers. The Jupiter is next door to Doug Fir, a restaurant, lounge, and live-music venue that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner until 4 a.m. Locally owned coffee shops, boutiques, and antique stores line Hawthorne Boulevard. The Lloyd Center—one of the largest malls in Oregon—and Pioneer Courthouse Square are nearby. Rates start from $59 per room per night.

Details: Taxes are an additional 12.5 percent. Nightly rate is the same for single, double, triple, or quad occupancy. Regular starting room rates are $99 in the winter and $119 in the summer. Breakfast is not included.

Hotel Lucia, from $179 per night
The Eat, Sleep, and Be Parked package at Hotel Lucia includes a one-night stay, a $30 food and beverage voucher for the Bo Restobar or Typhoon on-site restaurants, and unlimited in-and-out valet parking. The boutique-style 128-room downtown hotel sits on the corner of Broadway and Stark streets, close to major Portland attractions. The hotel showcases a permanent exhibit of black-and-white photography by local artist David Kennerly. Guest rooms have an iPod docking station, a flat-screen TV, plush bathrobes, daily newspaper delivery, a coffee maker, and other amenities. Rates start from $179 per room per night.

The Heathman Hotel, from $229 per night

The Books by Your Bedside package includes a one-night stay, continental breakfast for two, and a curator's guided tour of the hotel's library of 4,000-plus volumes. You'll also receive a complimentary hardcover book by a recent guest author (the likes of Tom Wolfe, Wallace Stenger, John Updike, and Alice Walker), a travel reading light, a bookmark, a city walking map, and a map and guide to Powell's City of Books. Plus, for every package purchased, the Heathman will make a donation in the guest's name to SMART (Start Making a Reader Today), a nonprofit organization that promotes literacy for Oregon children. The 150-room hotel, built in 1927, is situated in the heart of Portland's Cultural District, a few blocks from the Portland Art Museum, the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and a variety of restaurants and city parks. The hotel is also home to the award-winning Heathman Restaurant. Rates start from $229 per room per night.

Hotel Vintage Plaza, from $289 per night
The Pinot in Portland package includes a one-night stay for two in a room dedicated to local winery (named after a winery and decorated with the winery's memorabilia), a carafe with an Urban Wineworks blending-class certificate for two, and a bottle of the hotel's private-label wine, the '05 Chateau Bianca pinot noir. Getting there: According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest round-trip fares to Portland in mid-February are $149 from Seattle (Alaska Airlines), $219 from L.A. (Delta), $239 from Chicago (United), $255 from Houston (Continental), $339 from New York (JetBlue), and $395 from Miami (American).
