LOS ANGELES - “High School Musical” star Zac Efron has been rushed to the hospital, Access Hollywood has learned.
Efron, 20, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, suffering from appendicitis.
“Zac had his appendix removed and is recuperating,” a rep for the actor told Access.
On Monday, Disney announced all of the major “HSM” stars would be returning to reprise their roles on the big screen in “High School Musical 3.”
Efron plays high school heartthrob Troy Bolton in the popular tween franchise.
