LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears may be heading back to the big screen.
The singer/actress, who was last seen in theatres in the coming-of-age tale “Crossroads,” is in talks to star in “Memoirs of A Medicated Child,” Access Hollywood has learned.
Andy Dick, Adam Ropp, Samantha Falk, Ross Tyler, Peter Iacangelo and Julie Gribble are already lined up for the film, which begins shooting later this month.
“We are not able to talk about all the negotiations just yet, but I think things are looking pretty good,” Tommy Parker, CEO of 2 Guys and A Dream Films told Access Hollywood about the possible addition of Spears to the cast.
The movie is based on what Parker said is the true-life story of Mark Black.
Black, Parker said, was medicated as a child after he broke a bathroom window at school.
He then battled with medicine for 27 years. Black reportedly claimed that imprisonment changed his life after he began refusing medication. Parker said Black was in jail alongside mobster John Gotti.
As for Spears’ role, Parker said that if all goes through, Spears will play the girlfriend of Black.
Parker previously produced “Green Demise,” starring Trinity the Cat, and “Ultimate Adult Combat.”
The NY Post reported that Lindsay Lohan was originally considered for the role.
