As if teenage pregnancy and train-wreck big sis Britney weren’t troubles enough, Jamie Lynn Spears can now add a cheating baby-daddy to her list of woes. According to National Enquirer sources, Casey Aldridge strayed from his young love a number of times, even dating another woman days before the 16-year-old “Zoey 101” star told the world she’s expecting.

“I think Casey is a serial cheater who has lied to Jamie Lynn and betrayed her time and time again,” a close friend confessed. “Even though I’m sure she knows in her heart that Casey’s a lying, cheating dog, Jamie Lynn is head over heels in love with him. She continues to take him back regardless of how awful he treats her.”

Just how awful is that? “This past spring Casey was forced to tell Jamie Lynn that he’d cheated on her and gotten that girl pregnant,” the same pal told the Enquirer. “Jamie Lynn was devastated. She swore Casey out of her life forever.”

Two weeks before the unnamed other woman miscarried, Jamie Lynn was said to be back in Casey’s arms with a promise that it would never happen again.

“In fact, only a few months before getting that girl pregnant, Casey had cheated on Jamie Lynn by dating another girl, Whitney Seals of Magnolia, Miss.,” a source revealed. That’s the same woman Casey’s been seen “sneaking around” with lately.

“Whitney and Casey have been dating for months,” Whitney’s brother Kevin Seals confirmed. “I know Jamie Lynn was really upset and jealous when she found out about it.”

Celebrity New Year’s resolutions
If you need helpful hints to help develop a hot, trendy New Year’s resolution for ’08, look no further than Us Weekly. From doing more yoga and giving up cigarettes to just doing “my fizzle,” the magazine features the annual to-do lists celebrities will be breaking this year.

Goals range from the mundane, like hip-hop artist and sitcom star Eve’s ambition to be more punctual, to flippant flops like that of actress Lisa Kudrow. “My New Year's resolution is to not make a New Year's resolution,” the former “Friend” deadpanned. That line’s so overused, Us landed an almost verbatim version of it from celebrity sibling Haylie Duff.

Fall Out Boy and Ashlee Simpson BF Pete Wentz desires a new hairdo, but nothing too professional. “I'm going to put a bowl on my head and just go,” Pete said. “I feel like that's the only thing I need to do — get rid of some of this hair!”

The sentimental favorite is Forest Whitaker’s wish. “I want to get even closer to my family,” the Oscar winner and all-around awesome actor confessed. “I want to be happy all the time. I pressure myself so much that I forget what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. I'm in the middle of amazing things, and I'm so focused on them – I don't even experience them!”

Fans of anchor desk hottie Anderson Cooper stand to benefit from his resolution. “I promise I will blog every day.” That’s quite the improvement as he added, “Right now I blog about once every two months.” Meanwhile, “House's” Olivia Wilde goes beyond the boring “exercise more” to specify how: “Do yoga more.”

Reality “actress” and model Adrianne Curry goes with that old chestnut, “quitting smoking,” but is far too loquacious to leave it at that. “I'm going to take Chantix, a pill that helps you quit,” she babbled. “It affects your brain. My husband [Christopher Knight] has been taking it. The only downside I've seen is that it gives you really bad nightmares. He doesn't remember, but I know because he's screaming and waking me up.”

If you’re still unable to choose a star-studded resolution, perhaps you can resolve to spend the year attempting to decipher Black Eyed Pea will.i.am’s ’08 vow : “To chill, max out. Just do my fizzle, you know.”

Dish on the fly
Following in the footsteps of lighter-liberator Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan tried to take a shopping cart for an off-market spin. After grocery gathering at Bristol Farms market, LiLo planned to wheel her goods to her nearby Los Angeles home, but a well-placed security measure stopped the attempted buggy-napping. “Lindsay was trying to push the cart past the exit, but the wheels locked up due to the sensors,” an onlooker told Star. “She kept on pushing until an employee explained that the carts aren’t allowed to leave the parking lot!” … Rehabilitated bachelor Sean Penn got a head start on his freedom, spending Christmas with some nubile hottie four days before his soon-to-be ex, Robin Wright, filed divorce papers, reports Us Weekly. Yet his mood wasn’t merry according to one spywitness. “He seemed nervous and on edge," said a fellow diner at the restaurant Sean attended with the “very young, very attractive” brunette. “He didn't seem very happy,” the source said. … Simon Cowell’s fortune may be going to the dogs, reports ContactMusic. The surly judge surmises that it’s safer to will his estimated $200 million to his pet poodles rather than human loved ones or family members because fast fortune isn’t healthy. “If I had made money when I was 21, I'd probably be dead by now,” said Simon. “I wouldn't have made 22. I would have gone crazy.”
