NEW YORK - Lily Allen has something to smile about: She’s pregnant.

The 22-year-old British pop singer and her musician-boyfriend, Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers, are expecting their first child, Allen’s spokesman, Jon Bills, announced Wednesday.

“As the pregnancy is at such an early stage, the couple will be making no further comment but they are obviously both thrilled by the news,” Bills said in a statement.

Allen’s cheeky debut album, “Alright, Still,” which includes the hit single “Smile,” was released in the United States earlier this year. Her follow-up CD will be released next year, Bills said.
