What's the game of the year? You tell us!

For more than a month, we've been rolling out our "year's best" game lists for 2007. Since this year has been one of the best ever for video games, the competition was stiff.

If you haven't had a look at all nine of our categories yet, there's still time to check 'em out. We've ranked the best sports games, the best handheld games, the best action-adventure games and everything in between. And to come up with our lists, we've spent hours and hours in front of PCs and TV and consoles. (It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.)

But before you hit the mall for that last-minute stocking-stuffer blitz, we need your help in picking the best overall game of 2007. Think of it like a dog show: We're almost finished judging the best of each "breed" of video game. The next step is to pick the prestigious "best of show."

We're compiling all of the top vote-getters from each category as finalists. Starting Thursday, Dec. 20, we'll ask you to pick the game of the year from that list.

If you've already voted in a category, sit tight for the final round of voting. But if not, here's your last shot to do so: Voting for individual categories ends Wednesday, Dec. 19.
