Holmes, who sat for the interview as part of her promotions for her first post-marriage film, “Mad Money,” which comes out in January, goes on to gush about her marriage, offering perhaps too much information at times.
On Cruise’s flying hobby, she said, “He knows what he’s doing. When he decides to do something, he does it. It’s great. It’s hot.” And on the topic of Cruise as a birthing coach, she told the magazine “(He was) by my side the whole time. I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive human being. He had the room ready, candles everywhere, pictures in frames. It was very homey and beautiful.”
Jodie Foster opening up about love life?
In the course of accepting an award on Dec. 12, Jodie Foster thanked “my beautiful Cydney who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss.” Presumably, Foster is referring to Cydney Bernard, the woman who is reportedly her partner. This marks one of the first times that Foster has allowed a glimpse into her private life, which she has kept extremely private over the years. In an interview with More magazine in September, the interviewer commented on the Tiffany ring she was wearing, and Foster acknowledged it was “an eternity ring” that she doesn’t take off, but she did not comment any further about its significance.

Weekend box office
Will Smith has made a blockbuster career out of fighting aliens in their various iterations. Now comes a film where he gets to fight a plague. “I Am Legend,” the film whose production inconveniently took over a wide swath of Manhattan for a good portion of 2006, opens this weekend. Also look for the controversial film adaptation of the best-selling novel “The Kite Runner,” which just nabbed a Golden Globe nomination in the foreign-film category. Also in the mix: “The Perfect Holiday” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks.” As far as which film will take the No. 1 spot: “I Am Legend” seems like a no brainier.
