Eric Lane and Michael Oreskes wrote The Genius of America with the goal of motivating fellow Americans to become reacquainted with the U.S. Constitution and the principles it outlines. The hope is that the country will work better if people understand the principles better.

Lane and Oreskes joined MSNBC.com's Will Femia on the phone to talk about how the country can right itself by turning to the guiding document that led America to greatness in the first place.
