It’s no secret that shopping for someone who has everything can be frustrating.  You may spend hours wandering aimlessly from one store to the next, waiting for the perfect gift to simply jump off the shelf.  Ultimately, though, you may end up buying something completely unsuitable for the person you are trying to please.

If a do-it-yourself resides on your shopping list this season, there’s no reason to start stressing out.  The following gift ideas, provided by the DIY Network, are all home improvement tools and gadgets that will please even the pickiest of holiday gift recipients:

  • Griptwist is a giant wrist-tie that can secure, carry or hang virtually anything up to 100 pounds.  This handy tool is also made of a soft, bendable alloy.
  • You’ll never have to hold – or taste – nails in your mouth while you hammer again, thanks to the Tool Band-it.  The magnetic arm band holds nails, screws and other tools to make finishing any project quicker and easier.
  • The FastCap ProCarpenter Measuring Tape includes a pencil sharpener and erasable notepad to write your measurements on the outside of the tool.
  • A Grip-Tite Socket Set is not your average socket wrench.  It grabs on where other sockets tend to slip and is available in multiple sets.

If paint projects are on the horizon, consider the Wagner PaintEater, a multi-use tool that can scrape and sand any unwanted layer of paint.  It is also designed for single-handed operations, giving a new level of convenience when it comes to painting rooms of all sizes.

Lawn and garden enthusiasts will be beaming over the Garden Groom, a hedge trimmer designed to solve a variety of cleanup problems.  It features an attached plastic container that collects and shreds hedge clippings, turning them into mulch.  Additionally, the rotary blade can trim branches that are up to half an inch thick.
