The Scoop
Marie Osmond hasn’t had an easy month. She lost her father George on Nov. 6, and during a recent interview with Larry King, she appeared blindsided by questions about her 16-year-old son Michael entering rehab.

But Marie, ever the optimist, has found at least one silver lining to focus on: she’s lost a tremendous amount of weight thanks to her “Dancing With the Stars” run.

“I’m down 31 pounds so far. I’ve lost about five inches off my hips and five inches off my waist,” Osmond tells OK! this week. “I’ve added muscle mass and I am much more toned. It’s incredible. The show should be called ‘Dancing With the Starved’!”

Although this doesn’t bode well for the “August Rush” and “Tudors” star, the timing couldn’t be better for Details magazine, which features Rhys Meyers on its December issue, on newsstands now.

In the accompanying interview Rhys Meyers says, “I didn’t drink until I was 25, and I never drank every day, but when I did, it was bad. It would be a couple of days that just wouldn’t work out for me, waking up with a hangover. Drink doesn’t fit into the groove of where my life is going.”

Reps for Rhys Meyers didn’t respond to a request for comment.

It’s good to get along, but...
Awkward alert: At the grand opening of the Planet Hollywood resort and casino in Las Vegas, a photographer snapped a picture of Bruce Willis leaning in to kiss his ex-wife Demi Moore as he simultaneously shook the hand of her husband Ashton Kutcher. It was a busy weekend for Willis, as the night before he and his band, The Bruce Willis Blues Band (Joey Fatone jumped up on stage to lend his voice at one point) and he also hit swank sushi spot Koi. Mr. and Mrs. Kutcher were not present for those festivities.
