Friends throw Richie ‘Oz’-themed baby shower
No word on sex of expected baby, but some gifts reportedly indicate boy

LOS ANGELES - Nicole Richie and 90 of her closest friends reportedly celebrated her upcoming birth at a baby shower in Beverly Hills over the weekend.
The “Simple Life” star and Paris Hilton BFF had a “Wizard of Oz” themed baby shower according to a report in People. Invitations to the big event were hand delivered on Thursday.
The party was organized by party planner to the stars Mindy Weiss and Nicole’s mother, Brenda, and thrown by her sister Sophia and long time friend Paris Hilton.
Richie has still not commented on the gender of the baby, but according to reports a pair of $50 baby sneakers for a boy and a $50 Tummy T Jack maternity shirt with a picture of a boy on the front were purchased for the party.
Nicole is dating rocker Joel Madden of “Good Charlotte.” She is due in January.
