LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears has been ordered to pay $120,000 in attorney fees for her ex-husband Kevin Federline, Access Hollywood has learned.
According to court papers obtained by Access on Tuesday, Federline filed a request on Oct. 10, asking that Spears pay $160,000 in attorney fees.
In his Income & Expense filing with the court, Kevin indicated that he is “self-employed as a performing artist,” adding that he “does not earn any income.”
According to the papers obtained by Access, Kevin has paid $31,900 in post-judgment attorney fees, yet still owes $154,500.
Although Kevin indicates he has assets of $726,000, LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon made his ruling for Britney to pay the $120,000, citing “the notable disparity between the parties’ income, the nature of the litigation and the type of legal services rendered.”
The papers also indicate “the vast majority of the post-judgment litigation deals with the Petitioner’s [Britney’s] conduct.”
