Why it's a deal: Travelers will save 50 percent on the second night's stay—and 50 percent off every other additional evening. For instance, if you stay four nights, you'll pay $382 per room, instead of the typical four-night rate of $508 per room.

Trip details: The Montreal Tourism Board's Sweet Deal package has returned for the fall: Stay one night at a participating hotel from $127 per room and pay half-price ($64 and up) for the second night.

Travelers who book the package will also receive nourishing hand butter from Fruits & Passion, valued at about $20; two Passport Privileges coupons for Casino de Montreal, valued at about $40; and a discount card and gift with a purchase of $75 or more at one of the Sh3pping centers.

The 25 participating properties range from the modest Quality Inn Downtown, which has the lowest rate at $127, to the Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain at $229. Some hotels throw in extras like hot chocolate, valet parking, or a room upgrade. At the Delta Montreal, for instance, rooms start at $149 per night, including a $40 food and beverage credit and free meals for kids 12 and under.
