Bob McTeer

Bob McTeer is a distinguished fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis, a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy institute, specializing in macro-economic issues, including monetary policy, fiscal policy, tax and education policy.

Before joining the NCPA, Bob served as chancellor of the Texas A&M University System, from Nov. 4, 2004 through Nov. 22, 2006, and had a 36-year career with the Federal Reserve System, including 14 years as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).

Bob got his B.B.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Georgia and taught there for two years before joining the Fed in 1968.

He also is the author of a blog offering  “insights on taxes, economy, monetary policy and education.”
