Fight breaks out at Britney Spears’ hotel

LOS ANGELES - After Britney Spears visited the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills Monday evening, an altercation erupted on the grounds resulting in one man being sent to the hospital.

Access Hollywood has learned a member of the paparazzi was embroiled in a physical brawl with a member of the hotel’s security team, shortly after the pop star arrived at the locale.

“[A paparazzo] came on to the grounds of the Peninsula Hotel and had a confrontation with a security guard from the hotel and the security guard was attacked,” Lieutenant Mitch McCann of the Beverly Hills Police told Access.

The guard was taken to the hospital the Lieutenant confirmed.

According to Lieutenant McCann, no one was arrested at the scene. A suspect has not been identified and their investigation is in the beginning stages, he said.

A spokesperson at the Peninsula Hotel refused to confirm or deny details of the alleged attack on their member of staff.

“We have no comment,” a rep said. “The Peninsula likes to stay as private as possible.”
