Catfight continues on ‘Sex and the City’

Actress Kim Cattrall graciously agreed to revive her saucy Samantha Jones character for the much-anticipated “Sex and the City: The Movie.” But that doesn’t mean she’s closed the rift with the show’s star, Sarah Jessica Parker.

According to the New York Daily News, a “scowling” Kim stomped out of a “Sex and the City” reunion celebration at Butter restaurant almost as soon as SJP arrived. According to a source, Kim left, “just shooting a dirty look at the paparazzi.” Meanwhile, Cynthia Nixon did not attend the get-together. But Kristin Davis stayed on to hang with SJP. “Thirty minutes later the other two left, with big smiles on their faces. Kristen climbed into a town car and Sarah looked like she was walking home.”

Kim and SJP reportedly fell out over pay inequity during the show’s final 2004 season. It seems that as producer and star, SJP raked in considerably more than Kim on the HBO hit series. Allegedly, that’s also the reason Kim took so long to agree to appease hardcore “Sex” fans and sign on to the film.

Back on the set, Kim and SJP glammed it up as Sam and Carrie, but according to one spy, their scripted kiss between friends seemed colder than ice.

Friends urge Britney to follow Lindsay’s example
Almost 24 hours after a Los Angeles judge ordered random drug testing for Britney Spears, the young mother of two was back in the bars, where according to a Life & Style spy, “She seemed to be on a mission to get drunk.”

Matters got worse when Britney’s estranged mother received a cryptic call. “It was one of Britney’s friends saying he’d seen Brit take four Ecstasy pills in the bedroom of a Hollywood Hills home during a party on Aug. 11,” another source told Life & Style. “Lynne was also told that Brit’s done the drug more recently — and she’s taken Ativan, an anti-anxiety medication, to help her come down because the Ecstasy was so intense. Lynne put down the phone and froze.”

Those close to the embattled pop singer are now urging her to check out Circque Lodge in Utah, the same place where Lindsay Lohan went to get clean. Otherwise, she may lose custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to ex Kevin Federline forever. According to another insider, “If Brit finally acknowledges that she must face her addictions, then that’s the best place. It’s working for Lindsay, and hopefully Brit will see that as inspiration.”

Sarah Larson’s lovely assets
Former “Fear Factor” contestant Sarah Larson had a racy past even before her recent motorcycle accident with hunky George Clooney. Though she’s now most famous for dating a People magazine “Sexiest Man Alive,” the brunette beauty previously made her living as nearly naked cocktail waitress at Las Vegas’ Moon nightclub at the Palms Hotel, reports the UK Daily News. Google her images and you’ve got a good chance of finding provocatively posed photographs of Sarah and a female friend taken in 2005, during her stint as a promotional model in Amsterdam. It’s easy to see what George sees in her!

Dish on the fly …
Perhaps in celebration of the long-awaited “Sex and the City: The Movie” now in production, Renee Zellweger recently gifted a stranger a pair of Manolo Blahniks at Saks Fifth Avenue in Southampton, reports the New York Post’s Page Six. The actress and Bobbi Brown makeup artist Wendy Faracino casually talked shoes in the department store. Fifteen minutes after their conversation, the shoe department manager handed Wendy a gift-wrapped box containing the pair she’d been eyeing, and said, “These are compliments of Renée Zellweger. She wanted you to have them.” … Speaking of shoes, spies recently caught Jessica Alba and her on-again/off-again boyfriend Cash Warren shopping for the baby-sized variety in Malibu, reports TMZ. Seriously, Jessica, you’d be better off giving Cash the boot.
