Mary-Kate talks soup, pregnancy with Conan

NEW YORK - The perennially press shy Mary-Kate Olsen paid a visit to Conan O’Brien on Wednesday night and dropped a bombshell.

“I’m pregnant,” she told the “Late Night” audience.

But is the 21-year-old Mary-Kate really ready to step into motherhood?

Alas it was pure sass, as she was merely talking about a chance encounter with a potential suitor who made her an interesting offer.

“Do guys ever just come up to you on the street and strike up a conversation or are they too intimidated?” Conan asked her.

“Occasionally they do come up, but they say the weirdest things sometimes. Like the other day, somebody asked me if he could make me tomato soup,” Mary-Kate explained. “I looked at him and said ‘I love tomato soup.’ ”

“And now I’m pregnant,” she smiled, drawing laughter and applause from the crowd.

And for all those out there who were thinking about approaching the socialite, what exactly is she looking for in a guy?

Here’s a hint: you may want to look like Conan.

“I just have to say, I am a huge fan,” she told the “Late Night” host. “I have a bit of a crush.”

Mary-Kate appeared on the show to promote her new role on the Showtime hit “Weeds.”
