LOS ANGELES - A new advertisement for Britney Spears’ latest fragrance, Believe, has been unveiled.

With her trademark blonde locks, tight tummy and skinny arms, this photo sure looks like an archive shot of Britney from years ago.

According to a rep for Elizabeth Arden, the company that manufactures Spears’ perfume line, this photo was actually shot earlier this summer. Despite several reports that Spears used a body double for the shoot, according to Elizabeth Arden, the featured figure is Spears’ own.

While shooting the ad, like she did with OK! magazine, Spears bolted from the set.

Afraid she would not return, Cayli Cavaco stepped in so they could get the lighting right, an Elizabeth Arden rep also told “Access Hollywood.” Spears did, however, return and they finished shooting the ad with her.

A rep for Elizabeth Arden released the following statement to “Access”:

“We recently shot Britney Spears for the print campaign for her new fragrance Britney Spears Believe, in Santa Monica. It is true that Britney did leave the set; however, she returned after a brief time. Cayli was the wardrobe assistant on the shoot. We used her as a stand in so that we could set up the lighting while Britney was off the set. When Britney returned, we shot the national print ad with her. The only person in the national print ad for Britney’s Believe fragrance is Britney Spears.”

As for the new scent? A statement announced it was a “confident expression of optimism and individuality.”

“We all have beliefs that are treasures in our soul,” the statement continued. “Some are fun with a superstitious twist, others are words to live and love by, the remainder serves as inspiration when we need it the most. Britney’s next fragrance is a reflection of her soul. As she shares her beliefs, we reflect on our own.”
