Five years at NBC helm

  On December 2, Brian Williams will mark five years as anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News. In that time, he's traveled 500,000 miles to 25 countries and anchored 1,000 broadcasts.

Field reports

Williams was the first and only network evening news anchor to report from New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina hit and was the only network news anchor to report from the Superdome during the storm. In March 2007, Williams went to Iraq and reported from throughout the country for several days.
