Britney reportedly hits Vegas with the kids

LOS ANGELES - Wondering why you haven’t seen any new pictures of Britney Spears running around in the past 24 hours?

According to People magazine, it’s because she flew in a private plane to Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon with her two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Sources tell People that Spears went to dinner at the Country Club at the Wynn Las Vegas, and that she also made arrangements to have her hotel room child-proofed for the visit.

But People points out that, “the trip could also pose some problems for any custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline: Under California law, neither parent is allowed to take a child out of state without written permission from the other — or by obtaining a court order. According to a source close to Federline, Spears failed to notify her ex or his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, that she was taking the children to Las Vegas.”

A lawyer for Spears did not respond to People’s calls for comment.

“Access Hollywood” has reached out to Spears’ record label reps for several Spears-related stories in the past week, but the record label has not responded.
