LOS ANGELES - A day after Barbara Walters shared with the world Paris Hilton’s new-found spirituality and charity plans, reports have surfaced that the heiress’ father, Rick, may be shopping a post-penitentiary party in Las Vegas.

According to the New York Post, Rick is asking a $50,000 fee for Paris’ appearance as well as accommodations and flights for guests to be paid for by the venue. While Rick was turned down by Pure and Hard Rock, The Palms has yet to say yes or no.

Paris’ spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment on this story.

Rick and his wife Kathy were expected to visit their daughter at Los Angeles’ Twin Towers Tuesday.

While Paris sits in her cell, the controversy over her release and re-incarceration continues to boil over.

Yesterday, Al Sharpton met with L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca over what Sharpton claims was unfair celebrity preferential treatment of Paris while in Baca's custody.

Another celeb to voice her concern over troubled young Hollywood is the outspoken mother of two, Jamie Lee Curtis.

In a blog posted yesterday on TheHuffingtonPost.com, Curtis urged today's mothers to be alarmed by their children’s behavior.

“The sad paths of the three most popular young women — privileged but from varying backgrounds, talented, beautiful and spectacular have ended in prison, rehab and mental illness. I hope their mothers are worried sick and wondering ‘What could I have done differently?’ ”
