NEW YORK - Everybody’s favorite receptionist is going to be laid up for a little while, but luckily Jenna Fischer — aka “The Office’s” Pam Beesly — won’t be needing to ask Michael Scott for any time off.
Fischer slipped on a marble staircase at an event in New York City on Monday night, fracturing four bones in her lower back.
A rep for the actress told “
She spent the night at St. Vincent's hospital where her “Office” co-worker Angela Kinsey and other friends came to visit her. Fischer’s husband, director James Gunn, also flew in from Los Angeles to be by her side, her rep confirmed.
While the injury forced her to cancel several press activities in conjunction with the NBC Upfronts, her rep said Fischer is expected to make a full recovery in time to shoot season four of “The Office” later this summer.
