NEW YORK - She may have only announced her departure from “The View” one day ago but has Rosie O’Donnell already lined up her first post-moderator job?

Access Hollywood has confirmed that Rosie has been approached by producers of “Les Miserables,” asking her to join the revival's Broadway cast. After a performance of the musical on Rosie’s birthday “View” episode, she indicated she would be interested.

Marc Thibodeau, a “Les Miserables” spokesperson, told The New York Times the show would welcome O’Donnell. However, the role she reportedly wants to take on — Madame Thenardier — was just taken up by another actress earlier this week.

“We think she would make a terrific Madame Thenardier and would love to have her join the show at some point in the future,” he said.

If Rosie makes the move it wouldn’t be her first time on Broadway. She previously starred in "Fiddler On The Roof" (2005), "Seussical" (2001) and "Grease!" (1994).

Wherever she goes, many in Hollywood are saddened at Rosie’s “View” departure.

“I'm devastated Rosie is leaving,” Kathy Griffin told Access Hollywood Wednesday night. “I'm a huge fan, she's always been fantastic for the show. And I don't know, I really wish that they would work it out."
