LOS ANGELES - America Ferrera is being asked to put her “Pants” back on — and she’s apparently not very happy about it.

The film’s producers have reportedly exercised a clause in the contract which would bring Ferrera back for a sequel, along with co-stars Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn and Blake Lively.
The film, which will reportedly start filming in June, would be the follow up to the 2005 dramedy about a group of gal pals who bond over a shared pair of jeans.
Fortunately for Ferrera, the shooting coincides with her “Ugly Betty” hiatus.
This is not the first time a studio has exercised such an option to attach a star to a project.
A similar situation happened to Halle Berry when 20th Century Fox exercised its sequel option for “X2: X-Men United” after Berry won the Oscar for “Monster’s Ball,” forcing the reluctant actress to return for the super hero sequel.
A rep for Ferrera could not be reached for comment.
