“Happy Feet”
Hollywood’s march of the penguins continues with director George Miller’s Academy Award-winning animated feature about a dancing fool of an Antarctic bird who doesn’t fit in among his singing kinfolk. Featuring the voices of Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and Brittany Murphy, the film follows the adventures of a misfit penguin named Mumble whose talent for tap-dancing may prove the salvation of his endangered community. The disc has two new animated sequences, two music videos and a segment on Savion Glover, the tap-dancing master who provided the moves for Mumble. Also included is the classic 1930s Merrie Melodies cartoon “I Love to Singa.” The movie is available in a standard DVD release, a high-definition Blu-ray disc and a combination disc with HD DVD and standard DVD versions. The Oscar-winning hit documentary “March of the Penguins” debuts at the same time on Blu-ray and HD DVD releases ($28.99 each, Warner Bros.), along with a new DVD version of the 1995 cartoon feature “The Pebble and the Penguin” (two-disc set, $19.98, MGM), featuring the voice of Martin Short.

Hollywood’s grand swashbuckler returns in a five-disc set featuring five films from the 1930s and ’40s. “Adventures of Don Juan” stars Flynn as the legendary lover dueling with bad guys to rescue Spain’s queen. “The Charge of the Light Brigade” has him leading British horsemen against a Russian army. “The Dawn Patrol” stars Flynn and David Niven as World War I pilots battling the Germans. “Dive Bomber” features Flynn and Fred MacMurray in a tale of early flight research to help fighter pilots withstand the rigors of air combat. “Gentleman Jim” presents Flynn as the classy boxer James C.
