'Nightly News' wins 8 Headliner awards

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was honored with eight prestigious National Headliner Awards, more than any other network evening newscast. The winners of the 73rd annual National Headliner Awards, sponsored by the Press Club of Atlantic City, N.J., were announced March 7, 2007, by contest officials.

The categories in which "Nightly News" received the awards are: Best Newscast; Coverage of Major News Event (2); Continuing Coverage of a Major News Event; Feature, Sports, or Human Interest Story (2); Health and Science Reporting; and Investigative Reporting.
