LOS ANGELES - Former “Wings” star Tim Daly has been lined up as the next McHottie when he joins the cast of “Grey's Anatomy,” for a special two-hour episode, aimed as a springboard for a spinoff of the popular ABC show.

The network confirmed to Access Hollywood the casting of Daly, but declined to reveal further McScoops.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Prison Break" star Paul Adelstein, has been inked for the potential spin-off as well.

“Grey’s” creator Shonda Rhimes is expected to write a two-hour episode that whose end result could mean Walsh’s character, Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, leaves Seattle Grace.

Taye Diggs is also attached to the project, though no details were available about his role.

Daly and Diggs are no strangers to ABC. Daly starred in the ill-fated hostage drama “The Nine,” while Diggs was in the recently cancelled “Day Break.”

Though no names were revealed, the Hollywood Reporter noted a female psychiatrist and a female fertility specialist are part of the spinoff’s breakdown.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the two-hour episode is expected to screen in May.
