Courteney Cox: Kissing  and telling on ‘Dirt’

LOS ANGELES - When it comes to her racy new series “Dirt,” Courteney Cox is kissing and telling… and mostly because Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson was asking.

Courteney sat down with Access to dish on the show’s season finale, which guest stars fellow “Friend” Jennifer Aniston.

And trust us when we say the finale is a definite “Tune In.” After all, it’s not everyday you see Courteney and Jennifer locking lips.

“So Courteney, is there tongue involved?” Shaun asked to start the interview.

“Wow, you went right to it,” Cox laughed. “No, there’s no tongue and it’s really not a big deal to kiss. I am not saying, ‘Don’t tune in to watch Jennifer on the show,’ because she is fantastic and you get to see us together again. But if you think it is just about a major make out session, you will be disappointed.”

In the episode, scheduled to air March 27, Aniston plays Tina Harrod, a rival magazine editor to Cox’s Lucy Spiller character. Adding a little flare to the story, Jen’s character is also a lesbian. “Whose idea was it to have Jennifer play a lesbian?” Shaun asked Courteney.

“That would not have been either one of ours. That would have been one of the male writers,” Cox said, laughing about the script choice.

According to Courteney, before Jennifer became part of the show, she was a fan.

“What happened was Jennifer had been watching the show and she loved it. She asked when she was going to be on the show and I told her as soon as we get picked up,” Cox added. “But then I told the other producers that she was interested in doing the show and, of course, they stopped and immediately fitted it into this season.”

But when Jen hit the set, it took some time for the crew to get used to the new addition.

“When she first arrived, everyone was really quiet,” Cox said. “It was like they were giving her respect, and I was like, ‘This is my bud, Jen. Come on people, let’s have some fun.’ And by day two, everyone was more loose, and by day three, we were having a ball.”
