MALIBU, Calif. - She may have lost her house during last month’s wild fires, but Suzanne Somers has recovered one special item from the ashes — her wedding ring.

Access Hollywood has learned that Somers and her husband Alan Hamel hired professional sifters, who poured over the remains of her beachside home to locate the item.

Sources say while the ring was not a big ticket item, as any woman knows, it had tremendous sentimental value. The discovery of the item among the wreckage is said to have provided Somers and her husband a tender moment away from their grief.

Somers lost her home in January, but previously told Access Hollywood she remained positive over the loss.

“I just kept looking at these ashes thinking nobody died, we didn’t die, we should have died,” she said at the time. “That house blew up in 15 minutes, so we should have died and we just left two and a half hours before that not knowing we would never see it again, so it’s pretty shocking, but I am so grateful to be alive.”
