What is the likelihood of that happening? 3. If that happens, then what? It might not be as bad as you think. 4. Look back to the times you’ve been successful. What made you successful, and how often did you really fail? 5. Make sure you’ll have mentors, colleagues who can help you when you take on a new position. 6. Keep in mind that if your managers are thinking of promoting you they must think you have something to offer. 7. And remember what Thomas A.
