Apparently, USC is not to excited to be associated with Reggie Bush these days.

According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, the school asked their former star running back to "not show up on the sidelines" for the No. 8 Trojans' game against No. 3 Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

According to the report, which also cited information from a FOXSports.com story, the school is not comfortable with the lingering controversy over the improper benefits Bush allegedly received while playing for the Trojans.

Bush told Fox that USC was distancing itself form him because of the allegations, which accused he and his parents of accepting cash and gifts from a sports marketer.

"It's ridiculous," Bush reportedly said. "I guess I won't be going."

A USC spokesman told the Times there was no snub on the school's part.

According to the newspaper, the Rose Bowl strictly limits who may stand on the sideline. Each school is allowed five guest passes for ex-players.

Fox reported that Bush called Friday requesting a pass.

"If that's true, the passes were already allocated," USC spokesman Tim Tessalone told the Times. "They were given out a week or two ago."

The team's passes went to former stars Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott, Charles White, Matt Leinart and John Papadakis.
