Brit's bits: Pop star caught without panties

LOS ANGELES - The world has seen a lot of Britney Spears since she filed for divorce from K-Fed, but last night it saw a lot more when the singer was captured wearing no underpants while pumping gas in Southern California.

Sporting a patterned, V-neck green dress and bouncy curls, the singer looked immaculate. The flashing of her naughty bits however, while stepping out of the car has left fans worried.

On the singer’s official MySpace page, a host of supporters have pleaded with the pop star to put some knickers on.

”Britney I love you no matter what, but please get away from the Parasite and put some underwear on,” posted fan “Geo!” on www.myspace.com/britneyspears.

Member “**Steph on Power92.3!!! AWE YEAAAHH** echoed the sentiment, commenting “There ARE a bunch of people who support you in whatever you decide to do....I just don’t think showing your under-belows is one of those activities that will get our support. Babe...you’re a mom!!”

This morning, the ladies of The View chimed in on the issue too. After Rosie O’Donnell expressed concern for Britney being spotted in a car with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan the View co-host offered to take the singer into her home to do “mommy” things together.

Barbara Walters then chimed in on Panty-gate asking Rosie, “When she’s staying with you, are you gonna get her to wear underwear?”

Rosie replied by asking a national lingerie chain for help. “Listen, I want to beg Victoria’s Secret to supply these women [Britney, Lindsay, Paris] with an unlimited amount of underwear. I’m begging you Victoria!” She pleaded before addressing the singer directly. “Mommy loves you. Call mommy Britney.”

This isn’t the first time Spears has been captured by photogs without her drawers on. Saturday night Spears sported a bum-skimming outfit, which revealed her nether region as she dashed into a car to party hop with Paris Hilton.

One place fans won’t be seeing Britney’s privates is the Billboard Music Awards. Last night during ‘Standoff,’ Fox aired a promo promoting the Awards soiree featuring “host Britney Spears and Paris Hilton,” but US Weekly is reporting the pop star pulled out of co-hosting duties. A representative for Fox told Access Hollywood their promo department jumped the gun by running the ad.

Britney isn’t the first start to encounter trouble keeping her nether regions covered. Her new pal Lindsay Lohan was snapped several times this summer without her bloomers.
