Britney hangs out with new pal Paris

LOS ANGELES - It seems what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas as the budding friendship between Paris Hilton and Britney Spears is blossoming back in Southern California.

The two blondes spent the holiday weekend being chased by paparazzi in Los Angeles as they visited a host of locales beginning the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving including Teddy’s at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and celebrity-friendly bar Hyde.

That wasn’t the only place the three girls ended up. Later Saturday night, Britney and Paris attended a house party in LA where an alleged altercation with Lohan took place.

Reports have surfaced that there was a shouting match between Lindsay and Paris, with Lohan eventually leaving the party allegedly by security escort. Hours later, Lohan, in front of paparazzi agency X-17’s cameras, accused the heiress of assaulting her, while pointing to a bruise on her left arm. Paris’ publicist Elliot Mintz has denied any assault took place.

Paris and Lindsay have had a long history of public spats. Hilton was spotted laughing when oil heir Brandon Davis branded Lohan “firecrotch” and most recently Lindsay was captured calling the “Simple Life” star a derogatory name on camera earlier this month.

The two have had just as many less-than-public make-ups, but this weekend ended with what appears to be a very open friendship-repairing effort. Despite the party incident and the alleged assault, Lindsay hopped into Paris and Britney’s vehicle early Sunday morning.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Paris publicist Elliot Mintz said the reparation was the result of an extended discussion.

“About three hours after responding to Lindsay’s original accusation against Paris the three ladies [Paris, Lindsay and Brit] found themselves at another party together,” Elliot told Access. “This time the three went into a private room and had a lengthy conversation.

“It must have gone well,” he added, “because Paris, Lindsay and Brit all left together in Paris’ car. I would like to believe that Paris and Lindsay have worked through their issues. Besides, it’s almost Christmas.”
