No stranger to controversy, rocker Courtney Love is set to get headlines flying again — she has posed nude for an upcoming issue of British fashion magazine, Pop, Access Hollywood has learned exclusively.

The widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain appears naked in several pictures of the trendy, two issue a year magazine, expected to hit newsstands later this month. Prior to beginning promotion for her new book “Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love,” a scrapbook version of her journals, Love traveled to Ibiza, Spain for the shoot and cover story.

Images in the piece seen by Access Hollywood show the former Hole frontwoman standing strongly, legs apart and her breasts fully exposed, while strappy, designer panties cover her bottom half. Others show the blonde fully naked with her knees curled up.

According to sources close to the singer, Love was not planning to disrobe for the shoot, but chose to after becoming “comfortable” with the photographer.

Love is no stranger to flesh baring. She remained clothes free in her final scene in the 1996 film “The People vs. Larry Flynt,” where she played Althea Leasure, wife of the Hustler publishing giant, played by Woody Harrelson. The cover of “Dirty Blonde” also offers a nude version of the singer, taken from the back by her late husband Kurt Cobain. Prior to becoming famous she worked as a stripper on Los Angeles’ Sunset Boulevard.

The cover however is set to be a coup for the cult magazine, sources say Love has been offered substantial sums to strip for adult, men’s magazines, but always declined. Previous highlights for the Pop publication include their fall issue of 2005, which included a major interview with model Kate Moss, following her summer cocaine scandal.
